CAT 095-9936 (0959936) is an auxiliary compression spring for the track tensioning cylinder of the 760GT tracked chassis. It is a heavy-duty helical compression spring, compatible with models such as 349/352/374/395 excavators and 982/988 loaders. Installed between the 095-9732 main compression spring and the 095-9882 retainer, it helps buffer track impact loads, compensates for fatigue attenuation of the main spring, and works in conjunction with the 095-9870 spring base and the 095-9852 retainer to ensure the dynamic stability of the tensioning system.

Core Parameter Table

Item Details
Part Model CAT 095-9936 (0959936) Track Tensioning Cylinder Auxiliary Compression Spring (760GT Track Chassis Dedicated)

Structure Type Heavy-duty helical compression spring, both ends ground flat, compatible with 095-9732 main spring and 095-9882 retainer, auxiliary buffering of impact loads

Material 55CrSi alloy steel, cold rolled + quenched + medium-temperature tempered + shot peening + anti-rust coating, tensile strength ≥1800MPa, yield strength ≥1600MPa, fatigue life ≥2 million cycles, suitable for -40℃ to 150℃ working conditions

Key Dimensions Spring mean diameter approx. 180-185mm, wire diameter approx. 32-35mm, free length approx. 380-390mm, effective coils approx. 8-10, total coils approx. 10-12 Ring, pre-compression approximately 30-35mm, working stroke approximately 80-85mm

Mechanical Properties: Stiffness coefficient approximately 120-130kN/m, rated working load approximately 90-100kN, ultimate load approximately 130-140kN, adaptable to dynamic adjustment requirements of track tension

Compatible Models: CAT 349, 352, 374, 395 excavators; 982, 988 loaders (760GT tracked chassis configuration)

Functional Positioning: Auxiliary buffering of track impact loads, compensation for main spring fatigue attenuation, synergistic effect with the main spring to balance tension, and extension of the service life of core components of the tensioning system

Adaptation and Application:
Installation Location: Inside the track tensioning cylinder, between the 095-9732 main compression spring and the 095-9882 retainer, fitted onto the 095-9772… The outer side of the spring seat helps to buffer impact loads during track operation, compensate for fatigue attenuation of the main spring, and ensure dynamic stability of tension.

Application Scenarios: Heavy-duty, high-frequency impact conditions such as mining stripping, rock crushing, and tunnel excavation; withstands alternating loads and vibrations; prevents overload damage to the main spring; suitable for high-intensity working environments.

Core Functions: Assists in buffering impact loads, compensates for fatigue attenuation of the main spring, balances track tension, ensures dynamic stability of the tensioning system, and extends the service life of the main spring and hydraulic cylinder.

Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation: Clean the spring surface and the mating surfaces of the 095-9732 main spring and 095-9882 retainer. Apply grease (Cat 106-3960). Place the 095-9936 spring on the outer side of the 095-9772 spring seat, between the 095-9732 main spring and the 095-9882 retainer, ensuring that both ends of the spring are tightly fitted to the mating surfaces without misalignment.

Install and tighten the 095-9882 retainer, controlling the torque to 400-450 N·m. Test that the tensioning cylinder extends and retracts smoothly without jamming, abnormal noise, or leakage.

Maintenance Cycle: Under standard operating conditions, check the spring surface for cracks, wire wear, and deformation every 2000 hours; for mining conditions, shorten this to 1000 hours, recording changes in free length, pre-compression, and working stroke.

Replacement Criteria: Replace the spring if surface cracks appear, wire wear >2mm, free length change >5%, pre-compression is insufficient, or working stroke is abnormal. Prioritize original parts to avoid tensioning system malfunctions caused by material/dimensional deviations of non-original parts.
