096-0269 is a one-piece forged three-tooth track pad配套 (matched) with the Caterpillar 760GT heavy-duty tracked chassis. It belongs to the same chassis system as 096-0232 but has a different tooth profile/plate thickness configuration. It is used in mining/rock conditions on 349, 352, 374, and 395 hydraulic excavators and 982 and 988 large loaders. Together with 095-9936 springs, 095-9962 spring seats, 095-9882 track retainers, and 096-0255 three-grip teeth, it forms a complete track system, bearing the weight of the machine, providing strong traction, and protecting the track links and track rollers.

Core Parameter Table

Item Details
Part Model CAT 096-0269 (0960269) Heavy-Duty Three-Tooth Track Plate (760GT Track System)

Structure Type Integral forged alloy steel, three equidistant traction teeth, with double bolt holes, wear-resistant weld overlay, and rounded transition to prevent stress concentration; individual tooth blocks can be replaced (compatible with 096-0255 three-traction teeth)

Material ZGMn13 high-manganese wear-resistant steel composite forging, quenching + low-temperature tempering + surface shot peening + Caterpillar yellow anti-corrosion coating; Brinell hardness HB≥380, tensile strength≥1200MPa, impact toughness≥80J/cm²

Key Nominal Dimensions Adapted to 760GT standard pitch; plate width approximately 610mm, plate thickness slightly thicker than 096-0232 (original nominal approximately 58mm); traction tooth height approximately 45mm, tooth spacing approximately… 180mm; Bolt specification M30×2, double bolt fastening, hole spacing precisely matched with track links.

Compatible Models: CAT 349, 352, 374, 395 excavators; 982, 988 loaders (must be configured with a 760GT tracked chassis; not directly interchangeable with non-760GT models).

Functional Positioning: Heavy-duty abrasive traction and load-bearing, anti-track slippage, protection of track chains and traveling mechanism, and extension of chassis life.

Suitable Application Scenarios:
Installation Location: Outside the track link, double M30 bolt fastening, with a 2-3mm thermal expansion gap between adjacent plates; must be replaced in pairs; mixing different models/non-original track plates is strictly prohibited.

Working Condition Priority: Prioritized for mining stripping, quarries, and hard rock tunnels; not recommended for swamps or silt (wide/wetland track plates should be used instead).

Compatibility and Interchangeability: Compatible with original factory chain links, M30 high-strength bolts, track pins, washers, and 106-3960 grease; interchangeable with 096-0255 tooth blocks; not directly interchangeable with 096-0232 plate bodies (bolt hole tolerances, plate thickness, and tooth root angles differ), must be confirmed according to the chassis number.

Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Procedure: Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces and bolt holes to remove rust and oil; apply Cat 106-3960 grease to prevent jamming; tighten the M30 bolts symmetrically and crosswise to a torque of 1200–1300 N·m, and retighten once after 24 hours.

After installation, check the track sag (standard is 3%–5% of the track roller spacing), and test for no deviation, abnormal noise, or looseness.

Maintenance cycle: 1000 hours for standard operating conditions, check tooth height and bolt torque; for mining/rock operating conditions, shorten to 500 hours and record data.

Replacement criteria: Replacement is mandatory when gripping teeth wear > 50% (remaining <22mm), plate has penetrating cracks, bolt holes are stripped, or plate thickness is reduced by > 10%; welding repairs to repair cracks are strictly prohibited.
