CAT 096-3891 (0963891) is a ball bearing pin assembly for the seat mechanical suspension mechanism of CAT 096-3158/096-3164 seats. Its core function is to connect the seat base to the suspension spring bracket, enabling ±10° angular oscillation and cushioning. Installation and Application Scenarios:

Installation and Positioning: Mounted at the connection point between the suspension spring bracket and the base of the seat base. A ball joint pin passes through the mounting holes of the bracket and base. A retaining spring provides axial positioning. A dust cover seals the area. Grease is added periodically via a grease nipple. Compatible with 12mm thick mounting plates. Installation torque: 10-12 N·m.

Operating Conditions: Suitable for frequent bumpy and vibrating work environments, absorbing the impact of equipment movement and operation, reducing seat vibration transmission, suitable for operators weighing less than 100kg, and compatible with an oscillation frequency of 1500 times/hour.

Compatibility: Compatible with 096-3158/096-3164 seat suspension springs and 096-3177/096-3185 spring bases. When replacing, simultaneously check the ball joint wear, bushing clearance, and dust cover integrity.

Installation and Maintenance Points:
Installation Steps:
Clean the mounting holes and ball joint pins, apply lithium-based grease, insert into the mounting holes, and secure with the retaining spring. Ensure the ball joint oscillates smoothly without jamming and the dust cover fits snugly without damage.
Install the grease fitting nozzle, test for smooth oscillation within ±10° angle, no abnormal noise, no loosening under load, and no leakage at the dust seal.

Maintenance Cycle: Under standard operating conditions, add grease every 500 hours and inspect every 1000 hours. Under harsh operating conditions, shorten the cycle to grease every 200 hours and inspect every 500 hours, focusing on ball joint wear, bushing clearance, dust cover aging, and loose snap rings.

Replacement Standard: Replace the entire ball joint if ball joint surface wear exceeds 0.3mm, bushing clearance exceeds 0.2mm, dust cover is damaged, snap ring is deformed, or grease fitting is clogged. If irreparable, it cannot be reused.
