CAT 106-4120 (1064120) is a Caterpillar original straight-tube steel-backed copper bushing, used for wear-resistant support and clearance compensation in articulated parts/transmission systems of engineering machinery. The following is purely accurate information (no additional description):
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 106-4120 Straight-tube steel-backed copper bushing (no flange, with lubrication groove and oil hole)
Part Type: Steel-backed bronze alloy bushing (bimetallic structure), suitable for medium-low speed, medium-heavy load articulated parts, withstands radial load, reduces friction coefficient, absorbs shock and vibration, compensates for installation errors and component wear, and ensures motion accuracy and stability
Material: Steel back: Low carbon steel (Q235, thickness 1.5 mm, bottom weld); Liner: Tin bronze ZCuSn6Zn6Pb3 (containing 6% tin, 6% zinc, 3% lead, hardness HB80-100, wear-resistant and friction-reducing, suitable for grease lubrication); Surface: Circumferential lubrication groove + Axial oil holes, suitable for centralized lubrication systems, ensuring uniform lubrication.
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 40.00 mm (1.5748 in), outer diameter 48.00 mm (1.8898 in), length 50.00 mm (1.9685 in), wall thickness 4.00 mm (0.1575 in), oil hole diameter 3.00 mm (0.1181 in), lubrication groove width 2.00 mm, depth 0.50 mm, number of grooves 4 (circumferentially distributed).
Structural Features: Flanged straight cylindrical structure, bimetallic composite layer (bonding strength ≥150 MPa), built-in lubrication grooves and oil holes, suitable for grease lubrication, withstands operating conditions from -30℃ to 150℃, suitable for swing/rotational motion, long wear life, and long maintenance cycle.
Compatible Structures: Excavator stick pin bushing, loader rocker arm hinge bushing, bulldozer steering knuckle bushing, grader connecting rod bushing.
Applicable Working Conditions Suitable for radial loads ≤25.0 kN, speeds ≤1500 rpm, swing angles ≤±30°, medium to heavy loads, low to medium speeds, and intermittent impact conditions; suitable for reciprocating/rotational motions of articulated and transmission parts in construction machinery.
Compatible Machine Models and Assemblies:
Excavators: CAT 312D, 313D2 (stick pin bushing assembly, boom articulation bushing assembly)
Loaders: CAT 938K, 950K (rocker arm articulation bushing assembly, steering tie rod bushing assembly)
Graders: CAT 120K, 140K (connecting rod bushing assembly, blade lifting arm bushing assembly)
Bulldozers: CAT D6K2, D7E (steering knuckle bushing assembly, pushrod articulation bushing assembly)
Compatible Assemblies: 312D stick pin bushing assembly, 938K rocker arm articulation bushing assembly, 120K Connecting Rod Bushing Assembly Installation and Fitting Points: The bushing should have an interference fit with the seat bore (interference 0.010-0.020 mm). Use a dedicated pressing tool for cold pressing installation. Do not directly strike the end face to prevent deformation of the steel backing and peeling of the bronze layer.
Before installation, clean the seat bore, pin, and bushing, ensuring they are free of burrs, oil, and rust. Inspect the bushing for cracks and delamination, and ensure the oil holes are aligned with the oil passages in the seat bore to guarantee unobstructed lubrication.
After installation, the bushing end face should fit snugly against the seat bore step, with radial runout ≤0.03 mm and a fit clearance of 0.05-0.10 mm. Operation/oscillation should be smooth without jamming or abnormal noise. The lubrication system pressure should be normal (2.0-4.0 MPa).
During disassembly, use a dedicated puller to pull out the bushing evenly. Do not pry it forcefully to avoid damaging the seat bore. Before reuse, check for bronze layer wear (replace if wear >0.20 mm).
