CAT 119-5392 is a Caterpillar straight-tube steel bushing used in chassis/drivetrain systems. It is suitable for connecting rods, rocker arms, or balance shaft hinges in tracked bulldozers, loaders, and other equipment. The following is raw data only and does not include replacement parts information.
Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)
Item Details

Key Dimensions (Metric/Imperial)
Inner diameter: 38.10 mm (1.500 in), Outer diameter: 50.80 mm (2.000 in), Total length: 63.50 mm (2.500 in), Wall thickness: 6.35 mm (0.250 in), Chamfer at both ends: 1.5×45°, Inner diameter tolerance H7, outer diameter tolerance g6, surface roughness Ra≤0.8 μm
Matching and Performance Parameters: Suitable for shaft diameter 38.10 mm (f7 tolerance), suitable for mounting hole 50.80 mm (H7 tolerance), radial clearance 0.015-0.035 mm, rated radial load ≥35 kN, rated axial load ≥12 kN, maximum allowable swing angle ±5°, static load limit ≥80 kN
Structure and Compatibility Characteristics:
Structural Design: The overall structure is a straight cylindrical, flangeless design with chamfered ends for easy installation guidance. The inner wall has no oil groove (suitable for centralized lubrication systems, supplied via external oil passages). It is suitable for positioning hinged parts under static or small-angle swing conditions, reducing direct wear between the pin and the mounting hole.
Material and Manufacturing Process: Made of 42CrMo chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, manufactured through forging, rough machining, carburizing and quenching, and precision grinding. It has good core toughness, wear-resistant surface, and can withstand heavy and alternating loads, suitable for harsh working conditions in engineering machinery.
Suitable for: Primarily used in tracked bulldozers (D6R, D6T), loaders (950H, 962H), and other models for hinge points such as balance shaft connecting rods, steering arms, and bucket connecting rods. It provides support and wear protection, ensuring smooth rotation and accurate positioning between components.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the bushing, mounting holes, and pins, ensuring they are free of oil, metal shavings, and other impurities. Use cold press-fitting, applying even pressure to the bushing end face with a specialized tool. The pressing force should be ≤5 kN, ensuring coaxiality ≤0.03 mm.
After installation, check the radial clearance, controlling it between 0.015-0.035 mm to ensure a smooth fit with the pins and unobstructed lubrication channels.
Maintenance: Check the bushing wear every 1500 hours. If there is no pitting or peeling on the inner wall, replace it immediately if the clearance exceeds 0.10 mm.
The lubrication cycle is synchronized with the main unit. Each time, the amount of grease added is 1/2 to 2/3 of the clearance between the bushing and the pin, to avoid excessive lubrication that could damage the seals.
