CAT 142-1719 is a Caterpillar genuine straight sleeve bearing with a seat ring, suitable for steering knuckles, boom linkages, and other articulated parts of Cat 12M/140M graders, 950H loaders, and other models. The seat ring and bushing are integrated, designed to reduce pin and pin hole wear, and for positioning and load bearing under heavy loads. It weighs approximately 1.2 kg. Core Technical Parameters (Professional Version)
Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 142-1719 Straight sleeve bearing with seat ring, material is 4140 alloy steel (chromium-molybdenum steel), seat ring and bushing are forged as a single piece, integrally hardened (HRC 55-60, hardened layer 1.8-2.2 mm), inner diameter φ60 mm, outer diameter φ80 mm, total length 90 mm, seat ring outer diameter φ95 mm, thickness 10 mm, single weight 1.2 kg, with 2 Axial lubrication groove + 2 radial oil injection holes, suitable for pin diameter φ60 mm, rated load 150 kN, operating temperature -25℃ to +120℃, corrosion resistance IP65
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter tolerance +0.01/-0.005 mm, outer diameter tolerance +0.02/-0.01 mm, length tolerance ±0.1 mm, seat ring end face runout ≤0.03 mm, inner hole surface roughness Ra≤0.8 μm, outer diameter Ra≤1.6 μm, lubrication groove width 3 mm, depth 2 mm, oil injection hole diameter φ4 mm, chamfered ends 1×45°
Material and Process: Forged and precision machined from 4140 alloy steel, integral induction hardening to improve surface hardness and wear resistance. The lubrication groove and oil injection holes are connected, suitable for NLGI 2 lithium-based grease (containing EP additive). The seat ring is used for axial positioning and load bearing. The bushing body is interference fit installed, interference amount… 0.02-0.03 mm Compatible with Cat 12M/140M/160M motor grader steering knuckle pins, 950H/966H loader boom linkage pins, and 325D excavator stick and bucket connection pins. Suitable for mounting positions with a pin diameter of φ60 mm. Also used for the scraper drive linkage hinge of the Cat 140K motor grader.
Assembly Fit: The bushing and mounting seat have an interference fit (0.02-0.03 mm). The seat ring fits snugly against the end face of the mounting seat for positioning. Installation requires a hydraulic press (pressure ≥8 t). After installation, the inner hole clearance between the inner hole and the pin is 0.05-0.08 mm, and the coaxiality is ≤0.05. Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the mounting hole, journal, and bearing. Check for cracks and deformation, and ensure the lubrication groove and oil filling hole are unobstructed. Align the oil filling hole with the oil passage in the mounting hole, and press in using a special tooling. Do not hammer, as this may damage the raceway and rollers.
After installation, check that the end face of the bearing race is flush with the plane of the mounting seat (deviation ≤ 0.1 mm). Ensure the shaft rotates freely without jamming. Perform a 20-minute no-load test run, monitoring the temperature to ≤ 80℃. Check every 1500 hours. Replace immediately if wear > 0.2 mm or scratches/peeling appear.
Recommended lubrication: NLGI 2 lithium-based grease (with EP additive). Initial grease filling should be 1/2 of the bearing volume. Replenish every 1000 hours, or every 500 hours in dusty/muddy conditions.
