CAT 152-6867 is a Caterpillar genuine steel-backed bronze/PTFE composite bushing, suitable for boom/stick pins, steering knuckles, or hydraulic cylinder lugs on mini excavators and loaders. Its core function is to reduce friction, absorb shock, and position the pins under heavy-load oscillating conditions, ensuring stable operation of the articulated joints. It is suitable for articulated applications in construction machinery with medium to low speeds and large radial loads.

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Part Model: CAT 152-6867 (1526867) Composite Bushing, Original Part Number, No Official Direct Replacement Model

Material: Steel Backing (Q235/SAE 1010) + Bronze Intermediate Layer (CuSn8P) + PTFE Self-Lubricating Surface Layer (Contains MoS₂ Additive), Coefficient of Friction ≤0.05, Suitable for Hinged Parts Without Forced Lubrication, Operating Temperature -40℃ to 200℃

Key Dimensions: Inner Diameter 50mm, Outer Diameter 60mm, Width 25mm, Wall Thickness 5mm, Inner Diameter Tolerance H7, Outer Diameter Tolerance h6, Surface Roughness Ra≤0.4μm, Fitting Pin Clearance 0.05-0.08mm, Static Interference 0.02-0.03mm

Compatible Models: CAT 305.5E2/306E2 Mini Excavator, 906M/907M This product is suitable for use on loaders, such as the 420F2 backhoe loader, for boom lower hinge points, stick cylinder lugs, and steering knuckle kingpin bushings. It is compatible with the articulation systems of C2.4/C3.3B engine-driven construction machinery.

Performance Parameters: Rated radial load 80kN, allowable swing frequency ≤5 times/minute, maximum impact load 120kN, continuous working time without lubrication ≥500 hours, compatible pin surface hardness HRC 45-50.

Core Functions and Structure:

Heavy-duty articulated support: The steel backing provides high strength and rigidity, the bronze layer buffers impact, and the PTFE surface layer is self-lubricating. It is suitable for hinge parts such as booms and sticks that bear periodic radial loads, preventing direct wear between pins and structural components and ensuring hinge accuracy.

Self-lubricating and maintenance-free: The PTFE surface layer contains solid lubricant, eliminating the need for additional grease. It is suitable for harsh working conditions such as dust and humidity, reducing maintenance frequency and avoiding grease pollution.

Clearance Compensation and Positioning: Adapts to the appropriate clearance between the pin and bushing, compensates for manufacturing errors and wear in the hinge area, suppresses loosening and abnormal noise, and extends the service life of the pin, bushing, and structural components.

Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Specifications: Clean the mounting holes and pin, removing oil, rust, and burrs. Check that the roundness of the mounting holes is ≤0.01mm, and that the pin surface is free of scratches and pits.

Cold-fit installation (apply pressure evenly to the bushing end face using a special pressure block). Do not strike the side of the bushing. After installation, check that the bushing end face is flush with the plane of the structural component, without any misalignment.

After installation, check the clearance between the pin and bushing to ensure flexible movement without jamming. Replace the bushing if the clearance exceeds 0.15mm.

Maintenance Recommendations: Check every 500 working hours: for abnormal noise and loosening in the hinge area; for excessive wear, deformation, or detachment of the bushing; and for uneven wear of the pin.

When replacing bushings during equipment overhaul, simultaneously check the wear of the shaft pins. If the wear exceeds 0.1mm, the shaft pins need to be repaired or the shaft pin assembly needs to be replaced to avoid premature bushing failure.
