CAT 166-9440 is a Caterpillar genuine straight-tube bushing, suitable for connecting rods, pivots, and other components in engineering machinery. The following is purely precise information (without additional description):
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 166-9440 (1669440) Straight-tube Bushing
Part Type: Straight-tube bushing, used in connecting rods, pivots, rocker arms, etc., bearing radial loads, suitable for medium-to-low speed heavy-duty conditions
Material: Low-carbon alloy steel (SAE 1045), surface carburized, quenched, and tempered, hardness HRC58-62, precision ground inner hole, roughness Ra≤0.4μm
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 70.00mm (2.7559in), outer diameter 82.55mm (3.2500in), total length 75.00mm (2.9528in), wall thickness 6.275mm, chamfered ends 1×45°, tolerance H7/s6
Structural Features: No oil grooves or holes (suitable for centralized lubrication), flangeless straight cylinder structure, rated radial load 200kN, operating temperature -20℃ to 120℃, static radial clearance 0.012-0.022mm
Compatible Structure: Compatible with CAT 166-9439 pins, installation interference 0.018-0.028mm
Applicable Working Conditions: Connecting rod rotating parts, speed ≤1000rpm, radial load ≤160kN, suitable for lithium-based grease (NLGI 2) or ISO VG46 hydraulic oil lubrication
Compatible Models and Assemblies:
Excavators: CAT 320D2, 323D2, 330D2 (boom/stick connecting rod bushing assembly)
Loaders: CAT 938K, 950K, 966K (rocker arm/connecting rod bushing assembly)
Bulldozers: CAT D6N, D6K (Crawler Frame Pivot Bushing Assembly)
Compatible Assemblies: 320D2 Boom Linkage Bushing Assembly, 950K Rocker Arm Pivot Bushing Assembly
Installation and Fitting Points
* Before installation, clean the journal and mounting hole, ensuring no burrs or rust. Use cold pressing for installation, pressing in with a special press tool. Do not directly strike the bushing end face to prevent deformation.
* After installation, ensure an interference fit (0.018-0.028mm) between the bushing and the mounting hole, and a clearance fit (0.012-0.022mm) with the pin, guaranteeing smooth and unobstructed rotation.
* After assembly, check coaxiality ≤ 0.02mm. Apply grease promptly after installation to ensure adequate lubrication.
* For disassembly, use a special puller to remove the bushing. Do not pry the bushing edges. When replacing, check the journal and mounting hole for wear. If wear > 0.05mm, repair or replace.
