CAT 205-3582 is a Caterpillar genuine stainless steel brake pedal roller, used in the brake pedal linkage mechanism of loaders, excavators, graders, and other models. It reduces pedal friction and improves return smoothness. Each roller weighs approximately 0.12 kg, and one roller is provided per pedal. The following is professional structured information:
Core Technical Parameters (Professional Version)
Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 205-3582, Stainless steel (304/316) housing + built-in needle roller bearing, outer diameter φ22 mm (0.866 in), inner diameter φ10 mm (0.394 in), length 32 mm (1.260 in), needle roller diameter φ2.5 mm, quantity 12, operating temperature -30℃ to +100℃
Key Dimensions
Roller width 28 mm, shaft hole fit tolerance +0.01/-0.005 mm, radial runout ≤0.02 mm, end face flatness ≤0.03 mm, mounting hole center distance 50 mm (compatible with M8 bolts)
Material and Manufacturing Process: The outer shell is made of 304 stainless steel (HRC 28-32), the needle rollers are made of high carbon chromium bearing steel (SUJ2, HRC 60-62), the cage is made of engineering plastic (PA66+GF20), the surface is electrolytically polished, the corrosion resistance rating is IP65, the rated load is 2.5 kN radially and 0.8 kN axially.
Compatible Models: Compatible with the brake pedal linkage of Cat 938K/950GC loaders, 320GC/330GC excavators, and 140M/160M graders; also used for the pedal support of IT62G/IT38H integrated tool carriers.
Assembly and Fit: Clearance fit with the pedal shaft (0.005-0.01 mm), mounting bolt preload torque 8-10 N・m, roller end face and linkage clearance ≤0.1 mm, requires coating. Cat 106-3962 Lithium-based Grease Lubrication
Installation and Maintenance Points
**Before installation, check the rollers for deformation and jamming. Clean the shaft and mounting holes, ensuring they are free of rust and burrs. Fill the needle roller bearings with 5-8 g of grease to avoid dry friction.**
Tighten the mounting bolts symmetrically and evenly, achieving the specified pre-tightening torque in two stages to prevent roller misalignment that could lead to jamming or abnormal wear.
Maintenance Cycle: Every 1000 hours, check the rollers for smooth rotation and abnormal noise. Replace any rollers that are loose or jammed immediately. It is recommended to replace them during a major brake pedal assembly overhaul.
