CAT 206-1853 is a Caterpillar original steel straight tube wear-resistant bushing, which is mostly used in the bucket linkage, boom joint or steering mechanism of excavators and loaders. It is suitable for medium and heavy load high-frequency swing conditions, and plays a role in wear resistance, positioning and buffering. It is a key wear part of the chassis and working device, which can extend the service life of the pin and seat hole. The following are the core information and key points:
Core Technical Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 206-1853 (2061853) Steel Straight Cylindrical Bushing, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), no universal replacement model
Material: Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steel (42CrMo), surface hardened + tempered, surface hardness HRC 58-62, core hardness HRC 30-35, inner wall with oil reservoir + molybdenum disulfide coating, corrosion resistance ≥72 hours neutral salt spray test
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 50mm, outer diameter 65mm, total length 80mm, wall thickness 7.5mm, chamfer at both ends r=1.5mm, compatible shaft diameter tolerance js6, seat hole tolerance H7, interference fit 0.02-0.04mm
Compatible Models: CAT 320C/325C excavators, 950G/962G For loaders and other applications, used in joint components such as bucket lugs, boom linkages, and steering knuckles.
Performance Parameters: Rated load capacity 250MPa, friction coefficient ≤0.15 (grease lubrication), operating temperature -40℃ to 120℃, suitable for heavy-duty, high-frequency oscillating conditions.
Core Functions and Structure:
Wear-resistant cushioning: High-hardness alloy steel with a molybdenum disulfide coating reduces friction and wear between the pin and the seat hole, suitable for the heavy-duty, high-frequency oscillating operating environment of construction machinery, preventing premature bushing failure.
Positioning and guiding: Precise interference fit and dimensional accuracy ensure coaxiality of the pin and seat hole, preventing transmission component misalignment and ensuring precise operation of the working device.
Lubrication reservoir: Internal oil reservoir design stores grease, continuously providing lubrication to the contact surfaces of the pin and bushing, extending component life and reducing maintenance frequency.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Specifications: Clean the bushing bore and pin to remove oil and rust. The bore roughness Ra ≤ 1.6μm, roundness ≤ 0.01mm. Use a press-fit method with a dedicated press tool; do not directly strike the bushing end face.
After installation, check the fit between the bushing end face and the bushing bore to ensure no gaps and that the interference fit meets requirements, preventing the bushing from loosening.
Maintenance Recommendations: Every 500 working hours, check the clearance between the bushing and pin (≤ 0.5mm) and the condition of the grease. Replenish grease as needed. Replace grease every 2000-3000 working hours (adjust according to operating conditions).
Original 206-1853 bushings must be used. Do not substitute with ordinary steel bushings to avoid premature wear due to incompatible materials, hardness, or dimensions, which can lead to damage to the pin and bushing bore.
