The CAT 239-4481 is a high-pressure fuel line retainer designed by Caterpillar specifically for engine fuel systems. It is used for radial positioning and vibration-damping fixation of high-pressure fuel lines in Cat C7.1, C9.3, and other engines, preventing fuel line fatigue breakage due to vibration and ensuring stable operation of the fuel system under high-pressure (≤160 MPa) conditions. It is compatible with Cat excavators, loaders, and other construction machinery. The following is structured technical and application information:
Core Technical Parameters
Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 239-4481, Type: High-Pressure Oil Pipe Fixer, Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy (Anodized Surface), Single Weight: Approx. 0.05 kg, Operating Temperature: -40℃ to +150℃, Design Life: ≥10000 hours (normal operating conditions), Suitable for High-Pressure (≤160 MPa) Fuel Systems, Vibration Resistance: 10-500 Hz, Corrosion Resistance: Meets ASTM B117 Standard, Insulation Resistance: ≥100 MΩ
Key Dimensions
Main Body Length: 45 mm (Tolerance ±0.2 mm), Width: 20 mm (Tolerance ±0.15 mm), Height: 18 mm (Tolerance ±0.1 mm), Oil Pipe Clamping Hole Diameter: 12 mm (Tolerance +0.05 mm), Mounting Hole Spacing: 30 mm, Mounting Hole Diameter: 6.5 mm (Tolerance +0.10 mm), Clamping Groove Depth: 8 mm mm, edge chamfer r0.5 mm
Compatible Models and Parts: Compatible with Cat C7.1 and C9.3 engines, commonly found in 320GC and 323GC excavators, 950GC loaders, etc. Matching bolts are 6V-3715 (M6×1.0×20 mm). Can be used in combination with 239-4482 hose clamps and 1U-8886 sealing gaskets.
Performance Parameters: Rated clamping force ≥500 N, vibration displacement ≤0.2 mm, breaking strength ≥2 kN, anodized film thickness ≥15 μm, salt spray test ≥240 hours, compatible hose outer diameter 12 mm (tolerance ±0.1 mm)
Structural and Performance Advantages: Made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, combining lightweight and high strength. Anodized surface treatment enhances corrosion resistance, making it suitable for harsh working conditions in construction machinery and effectively extending the service life of the clamp.
The precise clamping hole design and mounting hole position ensure stable fixation of the high-pressure fuel line, preventing pipe vibration and displacement, avoiding friction with surrounding components, reducing the risk of pipe wear and breakage, and ensuring safe operation of the fuel system.
The lightweight design (weighing only 0.05 kg) does not add extra load to the engine, making installation convenient and requiring no complex adjustments, improving assembly and maintenance efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the retainer and mounting surface to remove oil and impurities. Check the retainer for cracks and deformation. Place the high-pressure fuel line into the clamping slot and tighten it with 6V-3715 bolts. The torque should be as specified in the model manual (usually 8-10 N·m). Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the fuel line or undertightening to prevent fixation failure.
After installation, check the fuel line for twisting and interference. During the initial operation period (first 50 hours), conduct regular inspections. If the retainer is found to be loose or the fuel line is displaced, retighten or replace the retainer.
Maintenance: Check the condition of the retainer every 2000 hours. If the anodized film peels off, the clamping groove wears more than 0.1 mm, or the mounting hole is deformed, replace it immediately. When replacing, it is recommended to check the high-pressure oil pipe and sealing gasket at the same time to ensure the overall sealing and stability of the fuel system.
