CAT 292-0611 is a Caterpillar steel-backed bronze composite bushing, suitable for the boom, stick, and cylinder hinge points of excavators, loaders, etc. Its core function is to provide low-friction sliding support, absorb shock, and position the pin. It is a key wear-resistant component connecting the boom and cylinder, and can significantly extend the service life of the hinge point. The following is structured technical and application information:

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 292-0611, Type: Steel-backed bronze composite bushing (oil-free self-lubricating type), Material: Steel back (Q345B) + Bronze alloy (CuSn10Pb10) + Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) self-lubricating layer, Single weight: Approximately 0.9 kg, Suitable temperature: -40℃ to +120℃, Lubrication method: Pre-lubrication + oil-free self-lubrication, Surface treatment: Zinc plating passivation (salt spray resistance ≥720 h)

Key Dimensions
Inner diameter: 65 mm (suitable for 65 mm pin diameter, tolerance H7, 65.00-65.03 mm), Outer diameter: 80 mm (tolerance g6, 79.97-79.99 mm), Length: 80 mm (tolerance ±0.1 mm), Wall thickness: 7.5 mm (steel back 2 mm, bronze layer 5 mm, PTFE layer 0.5 mm) (mm), chamfered ends 1×45°
Compatible Models and Parts: Compatible with Cat 320D/323D excavator boom – stick hinge point, 950GC loader bucket – boom hinge point, D6K bulldozer push arm – cylinder hinge point. One piece per hinge point, used to support the pin, reduce friction, absorb impact loads during operation, and protect the pin and hinge point hole.
Performance Parameters: Maximum radial load 120 kN, coefficient of friction ≤0.05, allowable pin misalignment angle ≤0.5°, service life ≥8000 hours (normal working conditions), hydraulic oil compatibility (Cat HYDO 10/ISO VG 46)
Structural and Performance Advantages: Self-lubricating and maintenance-free: The PTFE self-lubricating layer reduces friction, eliminating the need for frequent grease replenishment, reducing maintenance costs, and making it suitable for long-term operation in harsh outdoor environments.

Durable Composite Material: The steel backing provides high-strength support, the bronze alloy layer is wear-resistant, and the PTFE layer reduces friction. This three-layer composite structure balances strength and wear resistance, capable of withstanding heavy loads and impacts.

High-Precision Fit: Strict dimensional tolerances ensure precise fit with the pin and hinge hole, preventing vibration and wear caused by excessive clearance and improving operational stability.

Strong Corrosion Resistance: Galvanized passivation surface treatment enhances corrosion resistance, making it suitable for harsh working conditions such as humidity and dust, extending the bushing’s service life.

Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the hinge hole, bushing outer surface, and pin, checking for burrs and cracks. Use a cold pressing method (pressure 8-10 MPa) to press the bushing into the hinge hole, ensuring the end face is flush with the hole opening. After installation, check the bushing’s inner diameter to ensure no deformation; the clearance between the pin and bushing should be 0.05-0.10 mm.

Maintenance every 1000 hours: Check the bushing wear. If the inner diameter wear exceeds 0.5 mm, replace it immediately. Avoid dry friction between the pin and the bushing; ensure sufficient pre-lubrication before operation.

Prioritize genuine parts. Aftermarket parts may have issues such as improper material ratios or insufficient dimensional accuracy, easily leading to premature bushing wear, pin jamming, and hinge point failure.
