Installation and Maintenance Points

Installation: Clean the journal and bearing housing bore, ensuring no burrs or oil contamination; ensure the inner ring has an interference fit with the shaft (0.018-0.028 mm), heat to 80-100℃ for hot fitting, and do not directly strike the roller end face.

The outer ring and bearing housing have a clearance fit (0.012-0.022 mm). After press-fitting, the coaxiality should be ≤ 0.06 mm. Adjust the preload according to the original manufacturer’s specifications (axial clearance 0.05-0.10 mm).

Maintenance
Lubrication: Use CAT DEO-ULS diesel engine oil for oil lubrication and NLGI Grade 2 lithium-based grease for grease lubrication. Add grease/change oil every 600-900 hours, with the oil level reaching the center of the bearing.

Inspection: Regularly monitor vibration and temperature. Stop the machine and inspect if the vibration speed exceeds 5.0 mm/s or the temperature exceeds 85℃. Replace the bearing immediately and inspect the journal/seat bore for wear if the clearance exceeds 0.20 mm.
