CAT 380-7563 YM is a high-performance sleeve bearing for Caterpillar engines/transmissions. It is suitable for C15/C18 engine camshafts, 349D2 excavator rotary gearboxes, 992K loader gearboxes, and other components. It is used to support rotating shafts, reduce friction, and bear radial loads. Journal surface requires hardening (hardness HRC58-62, roughness…). (Ra≤0.2 μm), bearing housing bore precision bored (Ra≤1.6 μm), radial runout ≤0.02 mm after installation. Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the inner and outer surfaces of the bearing, journal, and bearing housing bore. Check for scratches, porosity, and peeling of the Babbitt alloy layer. Measure dimensions and fit tolerances to ensure compliance. Apply Cat 10W-30 machine oil to the bearing housing bore for easy cold-press installation.

Use a special press to apply even pressure during installation. Do not strike the end face to prevent damage to the Babbitt alloy layer. After installation, manually rotate the shaft to ensure no jamming and radial clearance of 0.008-0.015 mm.

Maintenance and Replacement: Check bearing wear every 1200 hours. If the inner bore wear exceeds 0.12 mm or the Babbitt alloy layer cracks or peels off, replace immediately. It is recommended to replace the bearing simultaneously with the bearing cap and O-ring to ensure support and sealing performance.
