Use dedicated snap ring pliers to pry open the retaining ring and insert it into the shaft groove, ensuring it is fully embedded in the bottom of the groove. Check that the retaining ring fits snugly against the end face of the component (gap ≤ 0.1 mm). Do not strike the retaining ring with hard objects.
Maintenance: Check the retaining ring for deformation and corrosion every 2000 hours. Replace it immediately if cracks, deformation, or red rust are found. Also check the shaft groove for wear (depth ≤ 0.05 mm).
