Assembly Fit: Gap between the bearing and bearing outer ring end face ≤ 0.08 mm, O-ring compression 0.25-0.45 mm, bolt preload torque 65-75 N・m, anti-loosening method: spring washer + thread locking adhesive (Loctite 243).
Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the cover sealing groove, bearing outer ring end face, and bolt holes. Check for burrs, scratches, and deformation. Apply Cat 106-3962 lithium-based grease to the O-ring to ensure reliable sealing.
Align the positioning spherical surface with the bearing outer ring, and evenly tighten the two bolts (tighten diagonally in two stages to the preload torque) to avoid uneven loading that could lead to seal failure or bearing jamming.
After installation, check for leaks at the contact surface between the cover and the bearing housing. Manually swing the connecting rod/rocker arm without jamming. After 50 hours of operation, retighten the bolts and check for torque decay.
Maintenance cycle: Check the sealing condition every 300 hours. Replace the O-ring promptly if it is aged, damaged, or the cover is deformed. It is recommended to replace it simultaneously with the spherical bearing to ensure positioning accuracy.
