CAT 3T-7396 is a Caterpillar genuine track adjuster sleeve (compatible with the track tension adjustment mechanism of D7H/D8N bulldozers, 7/8 series bulldozers/rippers, used to protect the adjuster piston rod from dust, buffer vibration, isolate mud and dust, and ensure stable track tension adjustment). The following is pure original data and does not include replacement parts information (Cat® Parts).
Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)

Compatible Models and Parts: Compatible with Cat D7H/D8N tracked bulldozers, 7S/7U/8U/8SU series bulldozers, 7/8 series rippers, and track adjuster assemblies for 57/57H winches. Installed on the outside of the adjuster cylinder piston rod and cylinder barrel, one piece on each side, for dust prevention, leak prevention, impact cushioning, and to prevent wear and corrosion of adjuster components.
Performance Parameters: Tear strength ≥35 kN/m, compression set ≤20% (100℃×70 hours), ozone resistance (200ppm×48) No cracks after hours), hydraulic oil resistance (volume change ≤8%, 70℃×168 hours), dynamic fatigue resistance ≥10⁶ cycles, sealing pressure ≤1.5 MPa, compatible piston rod diameter 51 mm (h7 tolerance), cylinder outer diameter 85 mm (g6 tolerance)
Structural and Performance Advantages
Integral Elastic Structure: Seamless design, lip and piston rod/cylinder interference fit, providing both dustproof sealing and cushioning functions, accommodating the expansion and contraction displacement during track adjustment.
Oil and Weather Resistant Material: NBR rubber formulation suitable for engineering machinery hydraulic oil and harsh working conditions, good low-temperature elasticity, and low aging at high temperatures, extending the life of internal components of the adjuster.
Precise Fit Design: Strict dimensional tolerances and lip sealing structure prevent mud, water, and dust from entering the adjuster, reducing wear on the piston rod and seals, and ensuring track tension adjustment accuracy.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the piston rod and cylinder mounting surfaces (free of oil and burrs). Use a special tool for cold pressing installation (avoid lip damage). After installation, the coaxiality should be ≤0.2 mm, and the lip should be free of twisting. Heating is prohibited (temperatures >80℃ will damage rubber properties). After installation, test the extension stroke for no jamming.
Maintenance: Every 1000 hours, check the sleeve surface for cracks, bulges, and aging (replace immediately if present). Every 2000 hours, check the lip seal; replace if oil/dust leakage occurs. Avoid collisions with sharp or hard objects to prevent scratches.
Troubleshooting: Abnormal track tension is often caused by sleeve damage leading to dust/oil leakage into the adjuster. Replace the sleeve and replenish hydraulic oil. Sleeve bulges are often due to abnormal internal pressure; check the adjuster safety valve.
