CAT 435-5200 is a Caterpillar double-row tapered roller bearing assembly (including inner ring/outer ring/rollers/cage/seals), commonly used in heavy-duty truck drive axle differentials, loader gearbox secondary shafts, excavator slewing bearing reduction gearboxes, and other parts that bear combined radial and axial loads in both directions. It is compatible with Cat 777G mining trucks, 992K loaders, 390F excavators, and other models, and is a core rotating support component with high rigidity and high load capacity in the transmission system. The following is structured technical and application information:

Core Technical Parameters

Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 435-5200, Type: Double row tapered roller bearing assembly (with pre-adjusted clearance), Material: Inner/outer ring: Chromium-molybdenum alloy steel (hardness HRC60-64), Rollers: GCr15 high-carbon chromium bearing steel, Cage: Stamped steel plate (SPCC), Seal: Nitrile rubber (NBR), Weight: Approximately 5.6 kg, Applicable Temperature: -40℃ to +120℃, Rated Speed: 1800 rpm, Limiting Speed: 2500 rpm, Lubrication Method: Oil lubrication (recommended Cat DEO-ULS 15W-40), Accuracy Class: ISO P5 (ABEC 5)

Key Dimensions
Inner Diameter: 100 mm (tolerance 0 to -0.018 mm), Outer Diameter: 180 mm (tolerance +0.015 to +0.030 mm), Width: 68 mm (tolerance…) ±0.15 mm), roller large end diameter 16 mm, small end diameter 12 mm, number of rollers 32 (double row), cage pitch circle diameter 140 mm, radial clearance C2 (0.025-0.045 mm), contact angle 15°, mating shaft diameter 100 mm (recommended interference fit H7/r6), mating seat bore 180 mm (recommended transition fit J7/h6)

Compatible Models and Applications: Compatible with Cat 777G mining truck drive axle differential, 992K loader gearbox second shaft, 390F excavator slewing gearbox, C18 engine crankshaft rear bearing. Used to withstand radial and bidirectional axial forces under heavy loads. Matching parts include adjusting shims, lock nuts, and bearing housings. Rated radial load ≥420 kN, rated axial load ≥280 kN (bidirectional), ultimate radial load ≥780 kN, ultimate axial load ≥520 kN

Performance Parameters: Preload torque 150-180 N·m, axial clearance ≤0.05 mm after installation, radial runout ≤0.02 mm, fatigue life ≥15000 hours, impact load resistance ≥80 kN, IP65 sealing protection rating, preventing mud/water intrusion, lubricating oil consumption approximately 1.2 L/h (oil lubrication)

Structural and Performance Advantages

High Composite Load Capacity: Double-row tapered roller line contact design, capable of simultaneously bearing large radial loads and bidirectional axial loads, suitable for composite stress conditions such as drive axles and gearboxes, increasing load capacity by approximately 60% compared to single-row tapered roller bearings.

Excellent Rigidity and Positioning: Assembly design with pre-adjusted clearance, no additional clearance adjustment is required after installation, bearing rigidity is high, rotational accuracy is stable, and axial and radial runout of the transmission system can be effectively controlled.

Reliable Sealing: Integrated NBR double-lip seal ring, dustproof and waterproof, suitable for harsh working conditions of engineering machinery, reducing grease leakage and contaminant intrusion, extending bearing service life.

Easy Installation: The assembly design allows for direct press-fitting. Matching shims enable quick preload setting, reducing assembly and maintenance difficulty.

Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the shaft diameter, bearing housing bore, and bearing assembly, checking for burrs, cracks, and rust. During press-fitting, apply force to the inner ring end face (for the inner ring mating with the shaft) or the outer ring end face (for the outer ring mating with the seat). Use specialized press-fitting fixtures, with a press-fitting force ≤120 kN, ensuring a tight fit between the bearing and the shaft shoulder/seat shoulder, with an axial clearance ≤0.05 mm.

Perform a 3-hour trial run, checking that the bearing temperature is ≤80℃ and there is no abnormal noise. Every 2500 hours, check the oil level and quality. Replace the bearing if the clearance is >0.08 mm or the seal fails.

When replacing, prioritize original equipment manufacturer (OEM) assemblies to ensure consistent pre-adjustment clearance accuracy and material quality, preventing premature bearing wear or burning due to clearance deviations.
