CAT 437-0099 is a Caterpillar single-row cylindrical roller bearing, suitable for medium-load rotating parts such as the planetary carrier of the Cat 950GC loader gearbox, the slewing gearbox of the 320D excavator, and the drive axle of the 140M grader. Material and Manufacturing Process Chromium-molybdenum alloy steel → forging → spheroidizing annealing → rough turning → finish turning → quenching (850℃ oil quenching) → tempering (180℃) → precision grinding → assembly → cleaning and rust prevention. Rollers are cold-forged + quenched and tempered + precision ground, surface roughness Ra≤0.8 μm. Cage is made of stamped low-carbon steel. Suitable for medium-high speed (≤5 m/s), medium-load pure radial conditions.

Compatible models: Cat 950GC/966K loader gearbox planetary mechanism, 320D/323D excavator slewing gearbox input shaft, 140M/160M grader drive axle differential, 420D skid steer loader gearbox output shaft. Used to withstand pure radial loads, allowing slight axial displacement of the shaft.

Assembly fit: Suitable for 63.50 mm diameter shafts (tolerance k5, +0.010/+0.002 mm), 100.01 mm diameter bearing housing bores (tolerance…). H7 (+0.030/0 mm), interference fit 0.015-0.035 mm, press-fit installation, welding or heating deformation is prohibited.

Installation and Maintenance Points:

Before installation, clean the shaft and bearing housing bore. Check the bearing inner and outer rings and rollers for scratches and rust. Measure the shaft diameter and bore diameter, ensuring an interference fit of 0.015-0.035 mm. The bore surface roughness Ra ≤ 1.6 μm.

Use a hydraulic press to press vertically, with a pressing force ≤ 120 kN. Ensure the bearing end face fits snugly against the bearing housing step without misalignment. After press-fit, the radial runout of the inner ring should be ≤ 0.02 mm. Do not directly strike the bearing outer ring with a hammer.

Maintenance Recommendations: Check the bearing clearance every 1500 hours. Replace immediately if the radial clearance > 0.2 mm or if abnormal noise or overheating occurs. Lubricate daily with ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil, maintaining the oil level above the center line of the lowest roller. Filter periodically (accuracy ≤ 10 μm) to prevent impurities from entering.
