The CAT 470-6087 is a Caterpillar genuine single-row tapered roller bearing, suitable for the output shaft of the swing gearbox and the half-shaft end of the drive axle differential in Cat 320D2/323D2 excavators and 966H/K loaders. It is used to withstand combined radial and bidirectional axial loads, limiting radial runout and axial movement of the shaft system. The following is pure raw data and does not include replacement parts information.

Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)

Item Details
Basic Attributes Model 470-6087, Type Single-row tapered roller bearing (inner ring/outer ring/roller integrated, non-separable), Material Inner ring/outer ring/roller is chromium-molybdenum alloy steel (carburized and quenched, carburized layer depth 0.9-1.3 mm), Cage is stamped steel plate, Single weight 3.12 kg, Operating temperature -40℃ to +120℃, Rated service life ≥22000 hours, Lubrication method Grease lubrication (recommended Cat DEO-ULS No. 2 lithium-based grease), Seal type Contact type nitrile rubber seal ring, Protection rating IP65, Applicable journal diameter φ90 mm, Applicable bore diameter φ150 mm

Key Dimensions Inner diameter 90 mm (tolerance 0/-0.018 mm), Outer diameter 150 mm (tolerance 0/-0.025 mm), Width 38 mm (tolerance ±0.12 mm) Roller configuration: 18 rollers, roller diameter 14 mm, roller length 32 mm, cone angle 12°30′, inner ring large end diameter 118 mm, outer ring small end diameter 132 mm, inner ring raceway radius of curvature 7.2 mm, outer ring raceway radius of curvature 7.3 mm, axial clearance after installation 0.03-0.06 mm. Performance parameters: Radial rated dynamic load 220 kN, axial rated dynamic load 85 kN, radial rated static load 310 kN, axial rated static load 150 kN, limiting speed grease lubrication 2400 rpm, oil lubrication 2900 rpm, coefficient of friction ≤0.002, hardness inner/outer ring HRC 61-65, roller HRC 63-67, elastic modulus 207 GPa, Poisson’s ratio 0.3, coefficient of thermal expansion 11.5×10^-6/℃, salt spray resistance ≥96. Impact toughness ≥25 J/cm² Structural and Performance Advantages

Cut roller structure: Can simultaneously withstand radial and bidirectional axial loads, suitable for heavy-duty transmission scenarios with axial forces, such as gearbox output shafts and differential half-shaft ends.

Material and Heat Treatment: Carburized and quenched chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, high surface hardness and good core toughness, capable of withstanding the impact and fatigue caused by frequent start-stop and variable loads in engineering machinery.

Contact Seal: Nitrile rubber seals effectively prevent dust, moisture, and oil from entering, reducing grease contamination and extending bearing life.

Precise Taper Angle Design: A 12°30′ taper angle ensures uniform load distribution, reduces local stress concentration, and improves transmission efficiency and operational stability.

Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)

Installation: Clean the journal and bearing housing bore (free of burrs/oil stains). Hot-fit the inner ring (oil temperature 80-100℃, heating time ≤30 minutes), cold-fit the outer ring. Press-fit force ≤40 kN. After installation, check the axial clearance with a feeler gauge (0.03-0.06 mm). Tighten the nut to a torque of 200-220 N·m. Do not forcefully hammer or pry, as this may damage the raceway and rollers.

Maintenance: Check the bearing temperature every 800 hours (≤85℃ is normal). Add grease every 2000 hours (1/3-1/2 of the bearing cavity volume). Replace the bearing every 22000 hours. Avoid overload operation (≤110% of rated load). Prevent high-speed idling of the bearing (≥120% of the limiting speed). Troubleshooting: Overheating is often caused by insufficient lubrication or improper clearance; add grease and adjust the clearance. Abnormal noise is often caused by roller wear, raceway peeling, or foreign objects entering the bearing; replace the bearing. Excessive axial movement is often caused by excessive clearance; adjust the nut torque or replace the bearing.
