CAT 485-1210 is a Caterpillar straight steel sleeve bearing (bushing) suitable for medium to light load swinging parts such as the boom/rocker arm hinge of the Cat 950GC loader, the stick pin of the 320D excavator, and the blade pivot of the 140M grader. Assembly Fit: Compatible with 79.99 mm diameter pins (tolerance f7, -0.030/-0.060 mm), 90.93 mm diameter mounting holes (tolerance H7, +0.030/0 mm), interference fit 0.015-0.030 mm, press-fit installation, welding or heating deformation is prohibited.
Installation and Maintenance Points: Clean the pins and mounting holes before installation. Check the bearing inner hole for scratches and bulges. Measure the inner diameter of the mounting hole and the outer diameter of the bearing to ensure an interference fit of 0.015-0.030 mm. Surface roughness of the hole should be… Ra≤1.6 μm.
Use a hydraulic press to vertically press the bearing into the mounting hole, with a pressing force ≤50 kN. Ensure the bearing end face fits snugly against the mounting hole step without misalignment. After pressing, check the inner hole roundness to be ≤0.02 mm. Do not directly strike the bearing outer ring with a hammer.
Maintenance Recommendations: Check the bearing clearance every 1500 hours. If the radial clearance is >0.25 mm or abnormal noise or overheating occurs, replace immediately. Routinely apply lithium-based grease (NLGI 2) according to the equipment manual, replenishing grease every 300 hours, adding only enough to overflow a small amount of new grease each time.
