CAT 510-6431 is a Caterpillar double-row tapered roller bearing assembly, specifically designed for heavy-duty machinery transmission systems. It is suitable for heavy-load applications such as differentials and final drives, integrating the bearing, cage, and seals. Its core functions are radial load bearing, axial positioning, and dustproof sealing. Complete technical and application information is provided below.

Item Details
Basic Attributes Model 510-6431, Double Row Tapered Roller Bearing Assembly, Heavy-Duty Radial Bearing + Two-Way Axial Positioning, Suitable for Differentials, Final Drives, and Drive Axles, Rated Speed ≤2000rpm, Requires Extreme Pressure Gear Oil
Compatible Models Suitable for Cat 950GC/966GC/972GC Loaders, 336/349 Excavators, 140M/160M Graders, Suitable for C13B and C15 Engine Drive Axles, 1 set per drive axle
Material and Manufacturing Process Inner/Outer Ring: Chromium Bearing Steel (GCr15, Hardened HRC60-64), Rollers: High Carbon Chromium Bearing Steel, Cage: Phenolic Resin, Seals: Fluororubber (FKM, Temperature Resistance -20℃ to +150℃), Corrosion Resistance Rating ≥96 Hours Salt Spray Test
Key Dimensions Outer Diameter 190mm, Inner Diameter 85mm diameter, total width 45mm, installation preload 50-80 N·m, weight approximately 3.8kg, compatible with 6 M10 bolts (hole spacing 120mm), sealing lip diameter 85mm. Installation and Maintenance Specifications:
Preparation before installation: Clean the mounting surface and journal, removing burrs, oil, and rust; check the bearing assembly for damage and the seal ring for breakage; measure the journal diameter and bearing inner diameter to ensure an interference fit (0.01-0.03mm); prepare a torque wrench, installation socket, and gear oil.
Installation steps: Apply gear oil to the bearing inner ring, press the assembly into the journal using a press (do not strike the bearing end face); use locating pins for positioning, and symmetrically tighten the M10×30 bolts to 35-40 N·m; after installation, check the axial clearance to 0.05-0.10mm, and add extreme pressure gear oil to the oil level line.
Maintenance and Replacement: Check bearing temperature (≤80℃) and for any abnormal noise every 1000 hours; change gear oil every 3000 hours; check bearing clearance every 8000 hours, and replace the component if the clearance exceeds 0.20mm; the entire assembly must be disassembled during replacement, and it is forbidden to replace the seal ring or roller separately.
