CAT 526-9330 is a Caterpillar general-purpose (GD) straight sleeve bearing (shoulder sleeve) that is compatible with the stick, boom pin and thumb shovel linkage of Cat 305.5-308 mini excavators. It is used for radial load support and low-friction sliding, and has wear-resistant and self-lubricating properties. It is a core sliding support component of Cat® Parts in the pivot part of small equipment. The following is structured technical and application information:

Steel Backing with Bronze Alloy Material: The steel backing provides high-strength support, while the bronze alloy lining is oil-lubricated, reducing lubrication frequency under low-speed conditions. Compared to pure powder metallurgy bushings, it increases load-bearing capacity by approximately 20%, making it suitable for the intermittent motion scenarios of small equipment with frequent start-stop operations.
Universal Straight Design: The edgeless structure adapts to various pivot mounting spaces. Chamfered ends facilitate installation guidance, preventing collisions between the pin and bushing edges, improving assembly efficiency, and adapting to the compact linkage mechanisms of small excavators.
Precise Dimensions and Tolerance Control: The inner diameter tolerance strictly matches the pin clearance (0.018-0.032 mm), reducing operating noise (≤58 dB), minimizing pin wear, and extending component lifespan, making it suitable for the high-precision operation requirements of small equipment.
Harsh Working Condition Resistance: The bronze alloy material resists dust and mud corrosion, making it suitable for outdoor operating environments. It maintains stable sliding performance even in humid and dusty conditions, reducing maintenance frequency.
Installation and Maintenance Points
**Before installation, clean the bushing and mounting hole. Press it in vertically using the cold pressing method (press head against the bushing end face). After pressing, check that the inner hole roundness is ≤0.012 mm and the coaxiality is ≤0.025 mm. Do not heat or strike the bushing body to prevent separation of the steel backing and bronze liner.
Every 1800 hours of maintenance, check the bushing wear. If the inner diameter wear exceeds 0.20 mm or if surface peeling or cracks appear, replace it immediately. When adding grease, use a high-pressure grease gun, injecting 1/3 of the bushing’s volume to avoid excessive grease overflow and contamination.
Prioritize original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. Aftermarket parts must match the steel backing thickness and bronze alloy composition. Inferior bushings can easily cause pin jamming and connecting rod deformation, affecting equipment operation safety.
