CAT 554-7928 (5547928) is a Caterpillar genuine SEM radial wear-resistant bushing used for pivot support and wear protection in the articulation parts of construction machinery. The following is purely accurate information (without additional description):
Core Parameters and Information
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 554-7928 SEM Bushing
Part Type: Radial straight-tube wear-resistant bushing, used for supporting the hinge pins of booms, sticks, and rocker arms in loaders, excavators, and other equipment. It reduces friction and wear between the pin and the mounting hole, absorbs impact loads, and improves the operational stability of the articulation parts (Cat®…)
Material: Outer layer: 42CrMo alloy steel (tempered, hardness HRC28-32, surface hardened HRC58-62); Inner layer: CuPb10Sn10 copper-lead alloy (wear-resistant layer thickness 1.50 mm, high load-bearing capacity, suitable for boundary lubrication conditions); Oil grooves: 4 axial grooves + 2 circumferential grooves This design facilitates grease distribution and is suitable for operating conditions from -40℃ to 120℃.
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 50.00 mm (1.9685 in), outer diameter 60.00 mm (2.3622 in), length 70.00 mm (2.7559 in), wall thickness 5.00 mm (0.1969 in), oil groove depth 0.50 mm (0.0197 in), oil groove width 2.00 mm (0.0787 in), chamfer 0.5×45°
Structural Features: Straight cylindrical, flangeless structure; concentricity of inner and outer walls ≤0.01 mm; chamfered ends for easy installation; inner wall copper-lead alloy layer with lubrication grooves, suitable for grease lubrication, reducing the friction coefficient between the pin and bushing, and extending the service life of the hinged parts.
Compatible Structures Loader boom and frame articulation pins, excavator stick and boom articulation pins, grader blade rocker arm pins, road roller vibratory wheel support pins.
Applicable Working Conditions: Suitable for radial loads ≤120 kN, pin speeds ≤50 rpm, impact loads ≤50 kN, and articulation conditions in construction machinery involving frequent starts and stops and heavy-load impacts.
Compatible Models and Assemblies:
Wheel Loaders: CAT 950GC, 966M, 972M (Boom and frame articulation pin bushing assembly, rocker arm pin bushing assembly)
Crawler Excavators: CAT 320GC, 330GC (Stick and boom articulation pin bushing assembly, bucket pin bushing assembly)
Graders: CAT 140M, 160M (Shovel rocker arm pin bushing assembly, drawbar articulation pin bushing assembly)
Compatible Assemblies: 950GC boom articulation pin bushing assembly, 320GC Stick hinge pin bushing assembly, 140M blade rocker arm bushing assembly
Installation and Fitting Points:
The bushing should be interference-fitted with the mounting hole (interference 0.15-0.20 mm). Use a press-fitting tool for cold pressing installation. Do not strike the bushing end face to prevent alloy layer peeling and bushing deformation.
Before installation, clean the mounting hole, pin, and bushing, ensuring no burrs, oil stains, or rust. Check the bushing for cracks, no alloy layer peeling, unobstructed lubrication grooves, and that the mounting hole dimensions meet requirements.
After installation, the bushing end face should be flush with the mounting hole end face, with radial runout ≤0.03 mm. The clearance between the pin and bushing should be 0.08-0.12 mm. The hinge should rotate freely without jamming or abnormal noise. Grease should be applied smoothly.
When disassembling, use a special pulling tool to pull out the bushing. Do not pry it forcefully to avoid damaging the mounting hole. When replacing, simultaneously check the pin wear. If the pin diameter wear is >0.15 mm, the pin must be replaced.
