CAT 567-7174 is a Caterpillar single-row tapered roller bearing (outer ring/seat ring), suitable for Cat 950GC loader gearbox axle, 140M grader rear axle differential, 320D excavator slewing mechanism, and other transmission components. Assembly fits 220 mm diameter bearing housing bore (tolerance H7, +0.040/0 mm), paired with 567-7173 inner ring. During installation, heat fitting (80-100℃, 10 minutes) to the bearing housing bore, cold fitting (-20℃)… (Heat to -30℃ for 30 minutes) until the bearing race fits snugly against the bearing housing bore without any gaps.
Installation and Maintenance Points:
Before installation, clean the bearing housing bore and bearing race. Check the raceway for cracks, rust, and scratches. The surface roughness Ra should be ≤0.08 μm, and the coaxiality error between the bearing race and the bearing housing bore should be ≤0.02 mm.
Hot-fitting the bearing race to the bearing housing bore: Immerse the bearing race in an 80-100℃ constant temperature oil bath for 10 minutes, then quickly insert it into the housing bore and position it using the end face locating ring.
Cold-fitting the bearing race to the bearing housing bore: Cool the bearing race in an environment of -20 to -30℃ for 30 minutes, then insert it into the housing bore, ensuring the end face of the bearing race fits snugly against the bearing housing bore step. Do not strike the end face of the bearing race.
Maintenance recommendations: Check the wear and fit of the raceway of the seat ring every 1500 hours. If the wear of the raceway exceeds 0.1 mm, or if peeling or cracks appear, replace it immediately. When replacing, it should be replaced at the same time as the inner ring (567-7173) to avoid damage caused by uneven load.
