Assembly and Fit The shaft is press-fitted (0.010-0.015 mm, heat fitting temperature 80-100℃), and the bearing housing is clearance-fitted (0.012-0.025 mm). After installation, axial positioning uses a combination of an 186-8990 outer retaining ring and a shaft shoulder. Radial runout ≤0.01 mm. The sealing lip contact pressure with the shaft is 0.2-0.3 MPa. Installation and Maintenance Points: Before installation, clean the journal and bearing housing bore. Check the bearing for rust/cracks/jamming. Measure the shaft diameter and housing bore tolerances, confirming the press-fit/clearance is compliant and the sealing lip is undamaged.
During assembly, heat the bearing to 80-100℃ using an induction heater (flame heating is strictly prohibited). Quickly slide the bearing onto the journal and ensure it fits snugly against the shoulder. After cooling, check the axial clearance with a 0.02-0.05 mm feeler gauge. Install the retaining ring to secure it, and finally add lithium-based grease (fill to 1/3-1/2 of the bearing cavity).
Maintenance Recommendations: Check the bearing temperature (≤80℃) and any abnormal noises every 500 hours. Add grease every 1000 hours. Replace the bearing immediately if abnormal temperature rise, seal damage, or radial clearance >0.06 mm occurs to prevent shaft wear or seizure.
