CAT 571-2776 is a Caterpillar genuine heat-resistant protective sleeve with Velcro closure, compatible with engine wiring harnesses, hydraulic lines, and sensor cables of Cat 320D/323D excavators and 950H loaders. It protects against high temperatures, oil contamination, and mechanical wear. The following is raw data and does not include information on replacement parts (Cat® Parts).
Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)
Item Details
Basic Attributes
Model 571-2776, Type: Open-type heat-resistant sleeve with Velcro, Material: Inner layer: Alkali-free glass fiber braid, Outer layer: Silicone rubber coating, Single weight: 0.18 kg, Operating temperature: -40℃ to +260℃, Instantaneous temperature resistance: ≤+550℃ (30 seconds), Flame retardant rating: UL94 V0, Breakdown voltage: ≥5 kV, Oil resistance rating: IP65, Abrasion resistance: ≥5000 cycles, Ozone/UV resistance, Service life: ≥3000 hours, Applicable cable/oil pipe outer diameter: ≤20 mm
Key Dimensions
Inner diameter: 22.23 mm (Tolerance +1.0/-0.5 mm), Length: 400 mm (Tolerance ±5 mm), Wall thickness: 2.5 mm (Tolerance ±0.3 mm), Velcro width: 20 mm, Adhesive strength: ≥8 N/cm, Unfolded width: 50 mm, Minimum bending radius: 30 mm, cut neatness ≤0.1 mm, burr-free, installation gap ≥1 mm
Performance Parameters: Thermal conductivity 0.12 W/(m・K), volume resistivity ≥10¹⁴ Ω・cm, tensile strength ≥1200 N/50 mm, elongation at break ≥25%, acid and alkali resistance pH 3-11, aging resistance ≥1000 hours (120℃), waterproof rating IP65, can be repeatedly disassembled ≥50 times, Velcro without delamination
Structural and Performance Advantages:
Double-layer composite material: Fiberglass provides high temperature resistance and mechanical strength, while the silicone rubber coating enhances oil resistance, flame retardancy, and insulation properties, suitable for the high-temperature and oily environment of engine compartments.
Velcro opening design: Quick installation without disassembling the wiring harness/oil pipe, easy to maintain, reusable, and reduces maintenance costs.
Multi-scenario protection: Combines heat insulation, insulation, wear resistance, oil resistance, and moisture resistance, protecting cables/oil pipes from high-temperature radiation, mechanical friction, and chemical corrosion.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the cable/pipe surface. Align the sleeve opening and attach the Velcro, ensuring no wrinkles. Overlap width ≥ 10 mm, fixing spacing ≤ 150 mm. Avoid direct contact with high-temperature components (e.g., exhaust pipes) (gap ≥ 50 mm). Do not stretch during installation (maximum stretch rate ≤ 5%).
Maintenance: Check the sleeve for damage and Velcro adhesion every 500 hours. Replace aged sleeves every 1500 hours. Avoid contact with open flames or strong solvents (e.g., acetone). Clean with a neutral detergent and allow to air dry naturally. Do not dry at high temperatures (>80℃).
Troubleshooting: Sleeve cracking is often due to high-temperature aging; replace with a new one. Velcro failure is often due to oil buildup; replace if cleaning is ineffective. Cable short circuits are often due to sleeve damage; inspect internal cables and replace the sleeve.
