CAT 584-4946 YM is a Caterpillar genuine steel straight sleeve bearing (YM is the specification/batch identifier), used in the articulation parts/boom pins of heavy-duty construction machinery, providing rotational support and wear-resistant guidance. The following is pure raw data and does not include replacement parts information.
Core Technical Parameters (Raw Data)
Item Details
Basic Attributes Model 584-4946 YM, Type: Straight Sleeve Bearing, Material: 20CrNiMo Alloy Steel (Carburized and Quenched), Single Weight: 4.8 kg, Operating Temperature: -30℃ to +110℃, Suitable Pin Diameter: 80 mm, 3 x 10 mm Lubrication Holes, Surface Hardness: HRC≥60
Key Dimensions (Metric/Imperial): Inner Diameter: 80.0 mm (3.15 in), Outer Diameter: 95.0 mm (3.74 in), Total Length: 120.0 mm (4.72 in), Wall Thickness: 7.5 mm, Chamfered Ends: 3×45°, Lubrication Holes: Evenly Distributed Axially
Performance Parameters Carburized Layer Depth: 1.0-1.4 mm, Core Hardness: HRC 32-42, Tensile Strength: ≥1300 MPa, Impact Toughness: ≥90 J/cm², Suitable Operating Pressure: 0-20 MPa, compatible with maximum shaft speed ≤15 rpm
Structure and Compatibility Characteristics
Heavy-duty Compatibility: Alloy steel carburized and quenched, high surface hardness and wear-resistant, strong core toughness, capable of withstanding heavy loads and impacts at hinged parts such as boom and stick, extending the life of shafts and bearings.
Optimized Lubrication: Three axial lubrication holes ensure even grease distribution, reducing frictional loss between shafts and bearings, improving rotational flexibility, and suitable for dusty and vibrating working conditions.
Machine Compatibility: Compatible with Caterpillar 320 and 336 series excavators, 950 and 966 series loaders, etc., used at the hinges between the boom and frame, and the stick and boom, supporting shaft rotation and positioning.
Installation and Maintenance Points (Original Data)
Installation: Clean the mounting holes and bearing surfaces. Mounting hole roughness Ra≤0.8 μm, interference fit 0.03-0.05 mm, free from scratches and rust.
Press fitting is used, with the pressing force controlled between 80-120 kN to avoid deformation; after installation, check the end face runout to be ≤0.06 mm.
After installation, apply lithium-based grease (NLGI 2), ensuring the lubrication holes are unobstructed. Perform a no-load test run for 3-5 minutes; check for any sticking or abnormal noise.
Maintenance: Check for wear every 800 hours. Replace when the inner diameter wear is >0.6 mm.
Replenish grease every 200 hours; under harsh operating conditions, shorten this to 100 hours to prevent dry friction-induced failure.
