CAT 596-5826 is a Caterpillar original equipment manufacturer (OEM) cab pin-mounted bushing. Its core function is to provide wear-resistant support, absorb vibration, and distribute load at the pin connection between the cab and the chassis. It is compatible with the cab mounting mechanisms of excavators such as the CAT 320D/336D and loaders such as the 966H, ensuring a stable connection and operator comfort.
Core Technical Parameters
Item Details
Part Model: CAT 596-5826 Bushing (Sleeve), Original Part Number: 5965826, No Official Direct Replacement Model
Material: Carbon steel base material + alloy zinc plating, combining high strength and corrosion resistance, suitable for dusty and humid outdoor working conditions
Key Dimensions: Inner diameter 38.8mm, outer diameter 48mm, length 50mm, wall thickness 4.6mm, tolerance controlled within ±0.02mm, suitable for corresponding cab mounting pins
Compatible Models: CAT 320D/336D excavators, 966H/972H loaders, D7R bulldozers, etc., used for wear-resistant bushing positions of cab-to-frame connecting pins, absorbing vibration and impact during equipment operation, preventing direct wear between the pin and mounting hole
Performance Characteristics: Surface zinc plating salt spray resistance ≥96 hours, carbon steel base material hardness HRC 30-35 mm, capable of withstanding radial loads ≥120 kN, suitable for operating temperatures from -40℃ to 120℃, effectively extending the service life of the cab mounting pins and mounting holes.
Core Functions and Structure
Wear Resistance Protection: As an intermediate component, the bushing avoids direct contact and friction between the cab mounting pins and the frame mounting holes, preventing wear that could lead to increased clearance and cab loosening, ensuring operational stability.
Load Dispersion: Distributes the weight of the cab and impact loads during operation evenly across the frame mounting holes, reducing localized stress concentration and lowering the risk of fatigue damage at the connection between the frame and cab.
Vibration Absorption: The elastic properties of carbon steel and the zinc plating absorb some vibration, improving cab operating comfort and reducing the impact of vibration on the driver.
Installation and Maintenance Points
Installation Specifications: Clean the mounting holes and bushing surfaces, removing oil and metal shavings. Check that the bushing is free from deformation and that the plating is not peeling off. Ensure the mounting hole dimensions meet tolerances (interference allowance 0.01-0.02 mm).
Press the bushing smoothly into the mounting hole using a press, avoiding impact that could deform it. After pressing, check that the bushing end face is flush with the mounting hole end face, without any misalignment.
When installing the cab pin, apply CAT 2K-7000 lithium-based grease to reduce friction between the pin and bushing, improving rotational flexibility.
Maintenance Recommendations: Every 800 working hours, check the bushing for wear, deformation, and plating peeling; check the cab for looseness and abnormal noise. If bushing wear causes a clearance greater than 0.5mm, replace it immediately.
Regularly add grease every 400 working hours to ensure adequate lubrication between the pin and bushing, reducing wear.
