Installation and Maintenance Points: Clean the shaft groove and retaining ring before installation. The surface roughness of the shaft groove Ra≤1.6 μm, free of scratches/burrs; use special retaining ring pliers (model…). (1U-8888) Spread the retaining ring and smoothly insert it into the shaft groove, ensuring the retaining ring is fully seated without misalignment (gap ≤ 0.05 mm).
Gap Control: After installation, use a feeler gauge to measure the gap between the retaining ring and the bearing end face. A gap < 0.05 mm is acceptable. If the gap is too large, the retaining ring must be replaced or the shaft groove repaired.
Maintenance Cycle: Check the retaining ring’s elasticity and corrosion every 1000 hours. If the elasticity is insufficient (shrinkage < 0.3 mm) or surface corrosion > 20%, it must be replaced to prevent bearing movement due to retaining ring failure.
Troubleshooting: If the retaining ring falls off/deforms, first check for shaft groove wear (> 0.05 mm requires repair), improper assembly, or material fatigue. If necessary, replace the retaining ring and repair the shaft groove.
