Split roller bearings:
Cooper split roller bearings use cylindrical rollers and half-piece components.
Assembling the halves on the shaft eliminates the need to disassemble couplings,
gearboxes, pulleys, etc., and simplifies shaft design.
Cylindrical rollers allow unrestricted shaft expansion in “EX” bearings and canaccommodate moderate axial loads using “GR” bearings. They are mounted in
Cooper rotating barrels, provide shaft alignment and excellent concentric sealing
options, and can be used in various forms of housings.
Split tapered bearings:
Cooper split tapered roller bearings have two rows of opposing rollers and can
accommodate axial loads in either direction. They are suitable for “fixed” bearing
positions, and all other positions on the shaft use “EX” expansion bearings. Its
components are divided into two halves and mounted in Cooper rotating barrels,
providing shaft alignment and excellent concentric sealing options, and can be
installed in base or flange housings.
